I Got In A ****ing Car Crash !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man I ****ing hate my self right now.

I was on my way to school 7 15 in the morning and when i made a right turn in one neighborhood the SUN was right in my FREAKING eyes and i couldn't see crap. I was already messing with the defroster and once i put the visor down i saw that there was a car right on the curb and BAMMMM i ****ing HIT IT.

It was a pretty loud crash and the people who owned the car heard it, it was a young guy and girl and they were pretty cool about it. We exchanged insurance info and waited for the tow truck to get here.

I pretty much totaled their car, i side swiped their car so their back is totally ****ed up and their front is screwed ( their front bumper came off )

The only damage on my car was the front right side...the axell of the passenger wheel came off..the hood got bend and just that corner of the car got trashed.

I AM SO PISSED. Our insurance is going to go way up since im only 18 and i've had my license for what 8 months?

THEN I FOUND OUT that my car doesn't even have full coverage, it has partial coverage and will only pay to fix their car..but my family has to pay for our own car which SUCKS because we are supposed to go to Europe this summer and already got money saved up and i FKING hope it doesn't get too expensive.

FK I NEED A JOB

I FEEL like dying right now. I want to just go hide under the blankets and never wake up again :bncry:

My car will be in the shop for atleast 3-4 weeks. And i have to ride the bus again :bncry:

I want to die right now :pain7:

that sucks dude.

Atleast nobody got hurt.

Duuuude, not cool!

But these things happen with cars, this week I lost the keys to my car when I was out running. I didnt have a spare, no 'red key'. A guy came out and opened it(cost 150) and another guy came today to try and fix it(cost me 100 to tow it) so so far its cost me 250 euro and its STILL not fixed. I just rang a garage and they said 560 to get it fixed. Thats 810 euro for a '97 Rover 600....the car isnt even worth that!

What sort of insurance do you have? Even if it just covers their car thats something(most insurers here in Ireland do 3rd party as a minimum which will pay for all of the other persons stuff).

Winter sun...its horrible but yeh noone got hurt!

if your axle came off thats a pretty big one. The hood being bent isnt though, panel beater should fix that. These things happen man, unfortunately it always appears to be at the 'wrong time'.

I'm sorry to hear this happened, keep us updated on what the costs are like. Don't beat yourself up over it, it could have happened(and does happen) to anyone.

Well depending on the type of car it was. I'm assuming its older since all you had was PLPD it might be better to just buy a different car.

ITs s 2003 honda civic.

The car is still drivable just that one corner got ****ed up. I think the most expensive thing will be the axel..but i seriously hope its no more than 1500 or sometihng.

Accidents happen. You live and learn. You just got into an accident that was a bit more serious. At least you won't make the same mistake twice. As for having out-of-pocket expense... it sucks and it sucks even more when you don't have a source of income to pay it. As for insurance, I doubt it'll go up if your parents have been good customers for many, many years. It's up to the insurance company if they want to increase the price, and it's usually temporary. Very doubtful for honest accidents where you're driving the speed limit.

Yea. Thanks for all the responses guys, i appreciate it. I feel like **** right now and feel like just going into the closet and eating a big bag of cookies LOL..but the better part of me is holding me back.( for now )

I just called my Dad, and he owns a Auto-Shop so the tow truck took my honda over there. He says he can fix it, and probably going to be around 2000 bucks..but still..thats still a lot of money...i'm looking online for a part-time job at the moment. I feel horrible for having my parents have to pay for my mistake

You know whats ironic, today is the first day of the muslim new year. What a way to start the new year huh?

Dont sweat it phate good to have a small accident that a huge one! I have dinged a few cars including totally a rental car and rolling my mums rav4. Dont sweat it sh** happens and youl get it sorted no trouble. Hey having a job could be fun!

yea man im sorry that happened.
but believe it or not you can be happy because you can fix everything that was damaged.
im really happy you didnt hurt yourself seriously because that would be a whole other level of tradgedy!
just think: if you got hurt bad, your family wouldnt care about the car; they would be caring for you, hoping that you are ok.
and you are ok, so you avoided the whole worse part! :]

Thanks guys, and yea your right it was a experience i'll never forget. I'll definetly never will be distracted with the radio or anything will driving again either. And I should probably be a little relieved that I hit a empty parked car, and not a moving car with people inside which would have caused more damage, and maybe even an injury.

Hey, I actually had a close call today. It really freaked me out since I've only been driving for a few weeks.

I decided to take out the car in my avatar (it's a 1965 studebaker) . It's not the most reliable car, but I was visiting my boyfriend, and I wanted him to see it. Everything worked fine on the trip to his house, and we went for a short drive together. Everything was fine then too. Then when I was leaving his neighborhood to go home, I went to make a left turn out onto them main road. Right when I got out into the first lane, the car just died.

There were other cars coming at me, and I had to put my hand out to tell them to stop. I tried to start the car, and it just kept making this "thud" sound every time I turned the key. Fortunately, everyone stopped, and there was a lady at the gas station across the street. She came running and helped me back the car into a parking lot. Neither of us knew what was wrong, so she left. Then I decided to call my dad. He knew exactly what was wrong.

At first he thought it might be the battery, but the headlights would come on. So, he had me bang on the starter thing under the car with a wrench. I trusted him, so I got under a car for the first time in my life. I had to follow the battery cable down to the starter, and I banged on it with the wrench. I got out from under the car, and put the key in and it started.

I was so relieved. That's the closest I've come to getting in an accident. I'll tell you, it's not fun to have your car die right in the middle of the road when there are other cars coming at you at 40 mph. Not fun at all.

Once I got home, I saw this post, and I felt really bad for you. It was also a very strange coincidence, so I thought I would share my story with you. Obviously, the outcome was different. I wish you the best with getting your car fixed. Just be happy that no one got hurt.

But now, we have to get it fixed since we can't take the risk of it dying. It will cost about $100. There's probably a loose wire in the starter or something.

if you are thinking suicide don't try crashing your car, that never works!

hahahaha

A wound up, spirited, young gun like you is bound to have a few of these.

Skydiver's rule #3- It's all about the experience!! Feel it!

Family isn't about whose blood you have. It's about who you care about.

(Trey Parker and Matt Stone, South Park, Ike's Wee Wee, 1998)

The main thing is that you and no one else was hurt.

There is only one you. You can't be replaced.

There are many vehicles and you will get another.

Learn from the experience. And then leave a space in your brain for the memory and do not forget. Experiences like these can be used to assist another in like situation.

Adjust to your new circumstances. Living life just threw you a wrench, now use it and make your personal adjustments with proper attitude. Put things in proper perspective. Face the truths that will surface as a result and deal with them effectively.

How are your parents responding to this?

Best regards,

I got waved into a lane coming out from a store. A truck decided that it was impatient and surged out forward in the next lane and drove up over my Pontiac Firebird. I was really glad I hadn't gotten it just painted as I had been thinking of.

I've slid out of our old driveway a number of times when the roads had iced over and the other cars have no breaking ability...it's called The Wait and Pray technique.

Anyway, bad times on the road happen to most people. Ya' just gotta' buck up and take what comes and learn from the experience. Just be glad that your dad is actually going to let you drive soon.

Oh just remembered once I left the handbrake off on my car when it was in the drive and it drove itself off along the road and into the bakery hahah it wasnt funny at the time when I walked out and my car wasnt there and I looked down the road and it was crashed into a buildint :D
