Hey
I have come down from a 125kilos to 85 kilos. After that I kinda dwindled between 85 and 90 for few months. Last month went fine and on 1st April I weighed 85 kgs. So my target for April was to be 80kgs by the end of the month.

I was eating fruits veggies and some lentils and weight came down to 84 in a week. So, I stopped the lentils from past 2 weeks and am having only veggies and fruits and 4-5 crackers in between. Must be around 1000Cals a day. Also, going to the gym 4 days a week.

Earlier I thot I have hit a plateau and it is okay that my weight is stuck at 84 for 2 weeks. But yesterday and today its showed 87 kgs and I lost my mind!!!
Is it possible for someone to gain weight on such a strict low Cal diet.

I have become frustrated!! Can someone help please! I am totally losing it now after coming so far. Has this happened with anyone else??

Thanks.

First, and most importantly, you're not eating anywhere near enough. There's a chance you're slowing your metabolism by eating so little- basically, your body thinks it's starving and it's preserving everything it can you put into it to try to stop you from dying. (Our bodies expect famine, not abundance of food) You need to be eating at a minimum 1200 calories a day. If you use this website, you should find an estimate of what you should be eating to maintain and lose weight: (use the BMR to calculate your maintenance calorie allowance and reduce by 500-750 calories, or 30%)

How are you calculating your calories? It may also be possible that you're eating more than you think- a lot of people miscalculate.

You also don't look like you're getting enough nutrition. Fruit and vegetables are good, but where are you getting your protein from? Meat is good, but if you're vegetarian there are other sources. Crackers are also quite bad for you in most instances- do you have a better source of starch?

If you've been on such a low calorie diet for awhile, you may need to speak to your doctor, as you may have slowed your metabolism (which means that attempts to right yourself may result in further weight gain) and/ or damaged your health.
