I feel thicker!

So i've been working out (running/abs/weights) for quite some time. Well actually i just added the weights like a month ago. I hear that adding weight training is really good and muscle increases metabolism (blahblah) well for some strange reason, i actually look bigger and fatter than i used to, like i look thicker! Except that i dont have a lot of fat to pinch around my stomach or anything, im just thick? am i doing something wrong?

Whats a typical day of eating look like for you?

Be specific

What are your stats?

What is your goal?

After a month of training, it's unlikely that you'll see substantial (or any, for that matter) muscle growth...apart from the possibility of increased water retention in the muscle from increased sugar storage (muscular glycogen), it's more likely that this is diet or hormonally related.

What does your workout look like, and your diet?

Well honestly I dont think that I eat that badly -

I try to eat the 5 small meals a day but maybe that doesnt work for me. I eat only whole wheat things, if i drink milk its skim, i love fruit and veggies. Before when i was in school and moving all the time i'd eat 3 meals a day - barely any snacking. Maybe i should try to switch back to that? Other than that I wouldnt really think that my calorie intake/eating has changed since i've been out of school.

I workout everyday. I make sure to do some sort of cardio every day (running mostly) i like to bike and swim also, and weight train 3 times a week. I also do abs like 2 to 3 times a week.

I'm not overweight or anything like i'm 5'3 113 lbs - but for some reasom i just feel like im getting thicker looking. I'm just waiting to go back to school to see if maybe the busy schedule and stuff will help bring me back to how i was before

Ok thank you for that! I think i understand what you're saying - i'll try those things out and see how it goes!
