I'm 6' tall and weigh 310lbs.

I drink 90% (or more) purified bottle water, stay away from sugar like it is poison, and avoid sodium. Been doing so for a year.

I am clearly overweight but am I at least healthier because of what I mentioned?

I am only now buckling down to get serious about getting the fat off. (My only idea of how to do it is walking or riding my bike.)

I do weight training but it's only on my arms. How much does musle weigh over fat?

why are you weight training your arms only?

What does yout food plan look like? that's going to be the biggest factor in losing fat?

Have you read the stickied threads in nutrition, on topic, and exercise? youo will get valuable information to get you started..

q1: I was trainng my entire body, my dad died 14th of December last year and I stopped. I started easing back into it then sprang my ankle (I walked off a step..). I am going to get back to training all around soon.

q2: it looks like garbage. I useto have meal plans. But since my dad died I jsut have to eat what I can afford to buy. Banquit tv dinners and sammichs. I still only eat three times a day, at leas tnever more than 3 and a little small extar somethin somethin.

I haven't read those in a year... probably should revisit them. Knowing me I forgot everything in them.

Yeah, the best way to lose any type of weight is via caloric deficit. You need to take in less than what your body puts out. Then you lose weight. Those meals, while not the best nutrition out there, could still cut it. Just less of them... weighing things out and keeping track is your best bet.

The prepared meals, while easier, are not always cheaper then the healthy alternatives. Rice is cheap. Beans are really cheap and super healthy. Fresh vegetables are not all that cheap, but they will really fill you up, so you aren't eating that much. Don't let the price tag prevent you from eating right.

Also, the frozen dinners aren't all that bad for you, calorie wise. (They are bad with total fat and saturated fat) The thing is to look at how much you are eating a day. If you are eating more then one package in a sitting, that can be a real problem, too. take a look at the nutritional information and see what it's saying. If you aren't sure if it's good, multiply each percentage by three to see how it measures up.

Cody some may not agree with my method but i achieved this much weight loss in a SHORT time due to atkins + lipodrene pills...

month 1
232.2 down to 215.8

by month 3 i was 204.8

You want fast results? Atkins it. Once you put off lets say 30-50 lbs then youll already be in the zone and lighter to do more working out. Start off with atkins just to give yourself confidence and then move onto something else if u need to.
