I competed in my first tournament saturday.

I won my division in Kata (11 entries), and took 2nd in Kumite (Point fighting) winning my first match 3-1, second match 3-2 (almost lost, my opponent got a point taken away for face contact), Third match 3-0, and lost the 4th 0-3 (I got my butt kicked in that one. The final point I feinted a jab and he quickly countered with a nice thrust kick to my sternum, ouch )

Since January, I did a kata that is considered above my rank though, so that helped me win
