I broke my recliner

I was reading this article on Tnation about 27 reasons why being big is good.

One of the reasons was that you get to buy a new recliner every year because your old one breaks down.....

shee, i'm only 176 pounds or so now...but I broke my damn recliner!

Was just sitting in it normally then out of nowhere the right part of the backrest just falls off... lol.

It's the most comfortable chair I have ever sat in, and now the right part of the back is all falling off, bah.

Kudos on gaining in yoke

Sleeping on my back makes my arms go numb. And my legs go numb when I drop bombs on the toilet...

I was watching an interesting Judge Joe Brown the other day. This rather large dude went to his friend's house and sat on his chair. The chair broke as well as the floor under it. The friend sued the larger friend for repair costs. The interesting thing is that when you sit down on something, it's reasonable to expect the chair to support your weight. So basically, the guy lost the case because it was reasonable that if one sit on a chair, it would not break.

But quite honestly, has anyone seen a large person break a chair? I've seen cracks and so fort, but never a full-blown breakage. But you don't really have to be large for the chair to break, just using it every day will result in it breaking at some point and time.

My uncle is 6'6 320# He was over at a cookout and asked "will this chair hold me?" I said I didn't know, that was unchartered territory LOL....He sat down gingerly and it held up
