I am losing weight but want to lose more

Hey guys,
So I am totally motivated to work really hard and drop a few pounds. I am 150lbs now, 5'7. I gained a little extra weight in college last year and haven't really had the chance to lose it.
I know, lame! :)
But I've been dieting a lot lately, I have really reduced my sweets and junk food. Been loving the South Beach Diet actually. Also I have started exercising workouts from Trainerpack.
So now my questions is this: Is my past activity going to help me with my future plan?
What I mean is this: Do I need to change my workout and diet in order to keep losing weight?

You will lose weight as long as you are in a caloric deficit. The South Beach diet has helped people lose weight, but the idea of "going on a diet" needs to be changed. Once you come off your "diet" you will gain the weight right back. You really need to begin to eat healthy overall.

I agree, instead of a "diet" you shuold think of a lifestyle change or a nutrition plan for life.

However, many individuals will eventually stop loosing weight or begin loosing much slower if they follow the same exercise plan and calorie intake, becasue the body tends to adjust its base metabolism rate to attempt to maintian the status quo. Also the same exercise plan may burn less calories or result in a lower overall hormonal change due to the fact that as you practice a similar exercise plan you become more fit and more accustomed to it and it takes less effort to accomplish it. That is why you need to increase the intensity of your exercise program either by running farther or lifting heavier weights, etc. to continue to get the same benefits from it.
 
Your BMR also drops as you lose weight, so you will eventually have to reduce your calorie intake even further (or increase your exercise) to maintain a caloric deficit.
