Sport I am always tired...

Sport Fitness
I am always tired throughout the day and I can NEVER get up when my alarm clock goes off without hitting snooze.

I have been eating a more balanced diet for a while now and working out 3 or so times a week but I am still just as tired as when I was fat and lazy just sitting around playing PC games. Any ideas to help me out?

maybe your not getting enough sleep..?

If you just recently changed your diet by eliminating sugary foods and simple carbs, your body is telling you that it's on to your little game. You'll get used to your new diet in a few weeks or months...

Also, regular exercise will help boost your energy.

i had that b4 i went to canada this xmas. i wasnt eating enough. maybe add some more food in ur diet?

because now that i am on my bulking diet im always full of energy. :)

Is Centrum "good"?

No. lots of fillers, and the thick outer shell is craptastic.

I would look for NOW, Nature's Way, Paragon...anything low or lacking a long list of 'inactive ingredients'.

Post your diet. I suspect the way you eat is causing lots of drops in blood sugar, making you lethargic, likely too many starchy/simple carbs, or not enough food.

what are your workouts like? any way you can add some more exercise on the other 3-4 days a week?

Assuming you don't over train or over exert yourself (say, 30-45 mins of activity per day), exercise actually increases metabolism and energy.

Not eating enough. Breakfast sounds about right, but WTF are you waiting until 1pm to eat again? you should be munching again around 10-10:30am.
Your first snack is starchy, processed carbs, and no protein.
Lunch sounds great, except the whole lack of protein.
Dinner was fine, but stop buying your daughter chicken nuggets.

Ditch McDeath altogether in fact.

Yep, not enough protein, and that looks light on the calories for a man, or a woman.

Someone mentioned some home made granola type bars on here. Would that be something good to snack on? I was really busy today and I just did not have time to sit and cook something to eat. McDeath was just due to me being starving by the time I picked up my daughter which was unexpected tonight.

Its the morning thats getting to you I think. Try getting up a little later and see what happens. Same problem with me. Nowadays I get up at 11 a.m  and I feel like running around the whole day.

I work M-F and have a child so usually 7am wake-up is the latest (sometimes 8 like today).

tropez you have nearly exactly the same build as i did two yrs ago. i learnt the hard way, someone of your size needs to eat alot otherwise your lean mass will dissapear fast and the fat wont go nowhere TRUST ME. your diet at the moment is comparable to that of a small monkey. eat alot more protien/carbs/unsaturated fats and lift weights(google weight training) you need to do some real reaserch into fat loss before throwing yourself in at the deep end. I lost alot of muscle mass over a 6 month period and the fat didnt budge. its only when i reaserched all the factors of fat loss and muscle building and started to eat properly again i saw some muscle back and the fat reduce now i'm well on my way to my personal goals knowing i'm doing it properly. Its a shame so many people on this site have so much determination but no information, its amazing what a little reaserch can do for you. good luck
