How do you all deal with hunger? I've done the six small meals thing and the reality for me is my stomach is use to eating more and six small meals is not filling. I understand that trying to lose weight I'm going to have to adjust my intake and deal with this issue. I just wondered if anyone had any tips on how to deal with the hunger?

spreading your meals out to loose fat is a myth, the metabolism boost is negligable and if you only have a low calorie allowance you will never feel full or satisfied

I would suggest you drop a couple of your snacks and allocate the calories to more substantial main meals.

I have been struggling with this same question for 30 years. No matter how I ate if i didn't eat the amounts that I was used too I would feel hungry, and if not hungry at least a drive to eat some more. Four weeks ago I took all sweeteners, grain flours and oils out of my daily intake 100%. It was difficult and it means eating almost no processed foods or baked goods but it can be done. The first week is hard , but after the first week I was not only not hungry but I seemed to always feel full. First time in memory that I felt like this. I have been eating like this for 4 weeks and have not been hungry once. During that same time I went from 332 pounds to 305 pounds with the only exercise being a daily walk. I have no idea if this eating strategy would have the same results in others but it has sure been the ticket for me. I am actually quite astonished by it.

The reason most diets fail is the fact that they leave you hungry. It is very unlikely that you follow the diet very long if you feel deprived. You don't have to have 6 meals a day, instead focus on what you eat. Eat enough fat and protein to keep you full. If you keep your carbs in control (just fruit and vegetables) and add protein and fat, you should lose weight and not feel hungry even if you have just 3 meals a day. By controlling your carbohydrate intake you are also controlling your insulin and that means you'll be able to use your bodyfat for energy. And that's what you want.
