Sport Hunger weirding me out

Sport Fitness
My problem is I am really hungry all the time although nothing apparent has changed.I am thirty.I have been excersising for a year at an easy rate: walks for an hour, yoga, runs three times a week for about 4km, some gym visits.nothing too stressful and had got my figure just about right for me(toned up from 64kgto 61kg i am 179 cm)then got sick and fell off the routine.Three weeks ago I began again after about a month of very little and gosh I look wobbly on my tum and hips.So I went to the gym for four days cardio. I have never tried to diet but eat pretty okay no forbidden( although having said that I never eat fried foods) just moderation,Cook all myself, oatmeal for breakfast, not too much fat but some:cheese, nuts, redmeat, fruit and vegtables etc., sandwich for lunch-cheese,ham usually meat for dinner. But I am hungry all the time now. This week I ran two days 3km, walked 7km on the third also am stretching, light pilates.today may run.Yesterday I ate: b-1/2 mango, 1/2c oatmeal+milk, coffee snack-brazil nuts+three dried figs lunch-ham sandwich, apple, fruit juice snack-four crackers with peatnut butter, dinner-homemade grilled hamburger, just ketchup and mustard+veg, icecream+ bannanna.I weigh 60kg now and have measured with a tape and nothing is bigger or smaller just mabey less toned.I think i eat normal portions.Am I missing something.Whats wrong am I eating too much and my body now excpects it after the down time??My stomach is rumbling as i type! Please can someone suggest a diet or some advice to sort this out other than eat more as I don't want to be bigger.

first of all, please insert some carriage returns when you post. It's very difficult to read 350 words without a single space.

Now, it doesn't sound like you're eating more than 3 measl a day? change that. 5-6 meals is ideal...protein at EVERY meal, starchy carbs at the first 4 meals, then only fiberous carbs late in the day (veggies, limited fruit).

this not only speeds metabolism up a little, but keeps food in yer stomach all day.

thank-you and what to eat now

sorry for the messy post.Haven't used one of these before.

The three meal point was valid now that I look at it and I realise alot of snacks/ sugars are from the fruit I eat although you say that should be limited.

As localised fat on my body cannot be targeted directly( i have gathered from this site) is my diet going to be by best step forward? Its tricky because I don't want to be much different i.e. lose my breast size but as with most women I have natural hips and a small tummy.

I don't eat a lot of fat except some olive oil and whats in meat and nuts but I thought that was healthy and if I reduce carbs I don't know what to eat then.More Protien? This may seem very stupid to people who follow nutrition but I am trying to do the right thing by not being drastic about my body shape changes and I appreciate the help.

As I am okay healthwise I was surprised by the change in my hunger is all and I would like to continue excersising as I do and so thought diet might be my answer. I don't really consume anything in excess is there a diet format I can follow?

Thank-you again, never tried for advice before so excuse the ettiquette.

If you just have a litte fat to lose then definitely get your menu in check and start strength training. Adding a bit of muscle will help burn more calories and help give you nice shape. Too much cardio and noe enough calories will lead to bad things :)

I always post these 5 tips on this board. It may help you...

1) Eat 5-6 small meals throughout the day. Each meal should be 2-3 hours apart. Each meal should contain one protein and one carb. The first meal should be eaten within an hour after waking.

2) Drink a cup of water at each meal.

3) Rest properly. This means taking at least 48 hours between strength training the same muscles, and it also means getting at least 7-8 hours of sleep per night. Lastly, it means taking 1-2 days off from exercising per week.

4) Cardio. This should be done at different intensity levels and different session lengths. Consider doing a low intensity/long session, a high intensity/short session and a few medium intensity/medium length sessions.

5) Strength Training. Strength train each muscle 1-3 times per week. You should lift a proper weight and perform the proper amount of sets/reps for your strength training method. If you need more guidance or exercise ideas you can head over

All of the above things combined will result in fat loss.
