a lot of people think this is a healthy food, in moderation yes, but there can be problems with self-control. not too long ago, I cheated on my diet with hummus, but ended up eating the whole tub and a lot of pita bread with it. It added up to 750 calories and 21 g of fat. So I ended up exercising it off.
That's the problem I always had, self-control, hummus isn't that bad, it's a natural healthy food if you have small quantities, the fat wasn't a problem with the pita bread, which was fat free, just the hummus....though calories was a problem with the pita bread too.
later, I had some more hummus, but this time I forced myself to put it away after having a smaller portion of it. And I felt good after doing that, because, it's always been hard for me to think of food as an occasional thing, where you just take a little from the container, I always finished off the container (like a can of Pringles or cashews), in a day or less , it was horrible, and I ended up feeling guilty.
This post may not seem like it has a point, but I'm just curious if anyone else has had "problems" with hummus.
