Howdy, Y'all! I found this forum while looking for information in regards to weight loss and dietary needs. Here's a little bit about me.

My name is Thomas, and I'm 31 (Old I know, don't steal my cane!). I currently work as a Data Center Technician for AWS. Now, if someone here knows me, keep it professional. I don't do autographs anymore ;) I'm between 6'4" and 6'6", I haven't been measured in a while. All the nurses these days are short, it seems, haha. I currently weigh 370lbs - 400lbs. My scale is off, by how much I don't know, thus the range. My current goals for the rest of 2020 is to finish paying off my debts (minus truck/college loans), and become physically fit. I'm doing fairly good on the exercising, I just fail epically in the dietary needs section. Hoping to get help here.

Cheers!

Hey Thomas, welcome! Good for you on the exercising, that is a great help. However as you may know most of weight loss comes from diet control. You should be able to get help with that here, you will find the folks here friendly and supportive. And some are quite knowledgeable about diet and nutrition. Most are more like me, not experts but people who have learned from their own experiences. It is helpful to have a group to talk to who share and understand our weight and eating problems.

I suggest you start a diary on the Weight Loss Diary page (https://weight-loss.fitness.com/forums/weight-loss-diary.9/ ). Start by telling us more about yourself and your goals. Then start logging your food and exercise regularly, I do it daily. That will really help you get going.

Best of luck to you!

Hi Thomas, and welcome to the forum :) Rob above is quite right about what you eat being the most important part of what you weigh. No need for perfection, just progress. You sound like a friendly guy and I look forward to keeping up with you weightloss adventures.
