Hi all, new to this board - but not new to trying to be more healthy. I'm a 31 year old guy from Louisiana. I have always been slowly fighting a weight problem. It was never a huge problem I was very active in High school, and also played football in college. About a year and a half ago I was in an accident at my friends work and to make a long story short I got 3ed degree chemical burns on my lungs. After about a year in and out of the different respiration clinics, I am finaly able to be back to trying to fight a weight problem which has ballooned since I could not stay active.. Now on top of all the fun part of loosing weight, I'm not allowed to do any type of real cardio, so most of my weightloss has to become from diet, which I have never really understood. I have done quite a bit of research so hopefully I can help out with a few questions on the board and try to fit in as much as I can. :)

For my current vital Stats.

31 Years old
6'1" Tall
318 Lbs
Goal of 220

So, HI AGAIN! :)

:D

Ouch sorry to hear about your accident, I'm sure it felt just lovely they always do. I also had a motorcycle accident which shattered bones in my foot which left me with chronic pain and arthritis, so exercise is hard for me especially being overweight. But I do manage to do ALOT of walking on my days off work. Miles and miles of low impact misery lol. Drinking water. For diet, I count calories, eating only lean meats and vegetables. Some yogurt, cottage cheese for dairy. Start working to find your own diet, thats the best way imo.

Welcome. I've struggled for YEARS. Know i've lost 12 pounds in one month. This is what I do-throw out all junk food, Propolene pills, vitamins, water, and exercise 45 mins a night. I know its a lot to thow at you, but believe me it works. GOOD LUCK!!!
