How to train with hurt back?

Hello!
I would like to start doing somthing about my looks. But i am not too willing to pay for gym and since i live in city center chance to workout in open air is slim.

So i found a set of dumbbells at home and thougt that i should give them a try. Read on some basic exercise and did them for few days. But since i had hurt my back about 5 years ago it started to show it self.

First 2 days were fine and i felt great, but on the third i thought that there is a needle stuck in my lower spine. I tried to always lift with my back relaxed but it didn't really help.

So my question is what dumbbell exercise and general exercises i can do without hurting my back?

You don't need expensive or a wide variety of equipment for--your personal fitness. First, there are a variety of bodyweight exercises that can be performed and developed into a program. Second, you can use your objects around the house to include within your bodyweight program.

It wouldn't be right giving you advice, without asking whether you were cleared to perform training (even light exercise), unless you have been cleared by an appropriate doctor to do such activities. Have you? What type of injury is it?

See my post above this one. Injuries can be agitated through exercise. I would consult a professional, and then direct your exercise approach from there.
