Hey all,

Good afternoon. I just signed up to this community. Now I would like to introduce myself with you guys and also want to lose weight naturally. Can you please help me to do that?

Thanks for your time in advance.

Hey Janice B, welcome!

Not sure what you are asking, the "natural" way to lose weight is to consume fewer calories than you burn. If you look around the forum that is what most of the talk here is about. So yes we can help, but you need to tell us more about yourself and your goals, do that and you should get lots of help and support.

The only "unnatural" ways I can think of are surgical or drugs, not something most here do.

Best of luck to you!

i'm guessing you are avoiding the "lose weight fast" diet drinks/ pills method...?

how is your knowledge of nutrition? my weight loss began when i finally understood things i had completely wrong. rather than ramble on here, if you check my diary, there are some links to TED talks. that is where i would start. find out about the pervasiveness of all sorts of sugars into our diets. learn about the way hormones like insulin play a large part in how fat is stored and accessed for energy and how you can control that.

also be aware that change takes time. maybe the most discouraging part of any diet is to start and after a week, you still might gain some weight. this is normal. just hang in there.

Thanks for your reply here. No, I don't want to use any unethical way. I just mean to say that the process I want to do is healthy and effective. I want to lose 1kgs per week. Is this normal?

The thing with pills is that the safe stuff doesn´t work and the effective stuff is dangerous enough that you should do it under a doctor´s supervision. Just doing it a little more slowly is generally the best thing to do, if only because it gives you the opportunity to build healthy habits that will help you maintain your new healthy weight.
How many calories do you normally eat? How tall are you? How much weight do you have to lose? How active are you? Age?

LaMa is right1 kg/week is on the high side. It is possible however depending on where you are starting and how much you have to lose. I lost an average of 1 kg/week, actually a bit more for over a year, but I started quite overweight. However now that its done I am not sure it was for the best, losing weight more slowly might have made transition to maintenance easier.
Do you think pills can help me to lose weight perfectly?
There is no "perfect" way to lose weight, its a process and you learn as you go. I agree with LaMa, be careful with the drugs, and in my experience you don't need them.

Best of luck to you!

First of all, I want to try SPAM LINK REMOVED as I said already. I also want to know more about their side effects. Because I don't want to try anything which has side effects and can be harmful for my body later.

Now come to the point. Here is the details-

1. I would like to lose 1kg per week. Is this normal?
2. I'm 5 feet and 7 niches long.
3. I want to lose around 10 kg's in total.
4. I'm active and want to do it regularly.
5. Now my age is 45.

Thank you so much!

If you have 10 kg to lose I do think 1kg/week is probably too much. You could probably do it, but I believe you would be happier going a little more slowly. Half a kg a week might be a better goal.

If you care about your body and want to do things "right" for it in the long run you will just reduce your calories by a little bit. Cut out something you won't really miss, replace one high-calorie snack or meal with a lower-calorie one or add a brisk walk. Because when you only have 10 kg to lose you're doing this for esthetics, not because you urgently need to lose weight or suffer a heart attack. Using pills is not going to teach you what you need to know to keep the weight off in the long run and that's the hard part.

First of all, I want to try SPAM ...
be sure to keep us posted on your progress...
