How to lose belly and get ripped

I'm 57, weigh 170 lbs, 5' 9" 34" waist

I have a small belly, hardly noticeable.

My goal is to tone my body and hopefully also get some visible abs.

My question is how to proceed?

My diet is small in portion, I started walking and jogging a little in hope of reducing my fat, but I'm also doing pushups and use dumb bells as well for the arms and shoulders and chest.

Where I'm confused is how to balance this all out so I can grow muscles and still drop my belly fat.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you want to get ripped, get on a proper resistance training program and learn how to eat appropriately for growth, how to eat appropriately for fat loss, and how to eat appropriately for maintenance of bodyweight, all while eating healthily. For a while, maintenance + strength training will lead you towards your goals. Eventually you'll get to the point where you either have to gain some weight in order to build more muscle mass, or lose some weight in order to lose additional fat.
