  A few years back I had loss 40lbs through over the counter diet aids/diet/excercise. I had another baby gained some weight back. it has been 4 yrs and my my life has had its ups and downs, with that came some more weight. I am forever feeling down and no energy. I am now at the most I have ever weighed w/out being pg...I am trying to devote myself to keep a journal and get on treadmill atleast 5 days a week for at least 1 hour and 2-5 miles a day just to start. the diet is kinda the south beach that i go for, cuz that is usually the way i eat anyway. Can' remember how log it was before that I started to see results. Does anyone know how soon you think I will lose any weight or inches?

just to let u know my info is 170 5'3'' female 33 1/2 yrs old... mother of 3..i use to be at my lowest 115lbs and was happy at 140 but was stuck at that weight couldn't go down then got pg....

It really all depends on the individual, just work hard, stay focused and drink plenty of water. You'll see results pretty quickly I'd say. :D

Congrats on getting started!

Usually when people start they lose a lot right away from water weight - a lot more than you will be able to lose in a typical week after the first couple of weeks. I think it's God's way of encouraging people on a weight loss plan!

You may want to try keeping track with a program like fitday.com or sparkpeople.com (both free). Just make sure you are consuming fewer calories than you are burning in a day :)

Welcome to the forum! I look forward to getting to know you.

Thanks for the encouragement!!! I am a heavy water drinker already, I sometimes worry that I drink tooo much and get bloated from it.any advice on what other at home activities/workouts that can help speed up the process? I tried workout videos but i can never get coordinated enough to keep up....lol...

activities as simple as turning on the radio/mtv/popping in a cd while you're doing household chores and dancing while you're choring adds to calories burned for the day...
running after 3 kids will also give you more burnage...

You really want to watch what you're eating.. and you'll see a difference... little things along the way add up a lot..
