Sport how soon is too soon for fat after a workout?

ok so i finished working out around 20 to 5 this afternoon, and now at like 6:20 i had dinner (which was a whole wheat english muffin with a little peanut butter, 2 egg whites, and a whole egg). now i know youre not supposed to have fats after a workout, but was this late enough to have some peanut butter?

At least 30 minutes post-workout you should try and not eat anything, after that it's generally OK.

why shouldn't you eat until it's gone 30 minutes? The general recommendation is to get some protein and carbs asap.
