Cohen's Lifestyle How much timeframe are you given on the programme?

hi all, i'm curious about this. i received my plan last evening and i read that i'm given 7 months to lose 20+ kg or minimum, to reach the weight for refeeding programme, that would translate to about 3 kg per month :eek2:

could you please share how many months were you given and how much weight were you supposed to lose?

i'm a little worried if i could not make it & will i be wasting my money? can we negotiate for a longer period to avoid having to pay additional? when i asked my consultant, she seemed quite vague about it, may be i was the last appointment :rolleyes: :confused:

I was told it was around 6 mths, but if you keep at the program, have a steady weightloss and don't deviate often they will keep supporting you. One of the girls at my clinic has lost 70kg in just 10 months....can you believe that??? They have her jeans hanging in the office.

Tuberose I have over 55kg to lose, a bloody scary number isn't??? I was hoping to lose 10kg a month...but I doubt that is being reasonable.

Good luck with your program...once you get into a routine its rather easy and it becomes easier when you see the scales going down, down, down.

Hi tuberose

My plan was for 4 months and I reached goal weight in less. I probably would have reached goal sooner except I had a few deviations whilst on programme which slows weight loss significantly.
So your plan is structured correctly. Cohens is a rapid weight loss plan. I lost over 6kg in my first month and that was noted as a minimum loss others have lost more on averge.
So don't stress, the plan works I'm testament to that but remember to NOT deviate as this will be picked up in your blood test which can affect your 7 month plan.

Hi,
I am just finishing off my weight loss now. I had 50kg to lose. I have lost about 46. But I have started refeed, because I was ravenously hungry!
Despite having 2 lots of one month off the plan for various reasons, I have still lost more than 1 kg a week on average.
So, 3 kg a month should be very attainable if you stick to the plan. I would expect that 4-5kg a month would be the minimum you would lose.
Good luck - don't psyche yourself out before you start. You can do it, if you follow the program one meal at a time. You'll feel great and it will be over in no time!
