How much sex is not too much?

I heard that some athletes will refrain from sex or masterbatution for weeks before a big race. They do this as sex uses up testerterone. Dunno how much of a difference it makes.

Making love rises testosterone levels. Masturbation and sex doesn't do a thing other than make your zinc levels lower (which, in turn, IS a major thing for t-levels, indeed) due to enhanced semen production.

Would be interesting to see some scientific studies for the effects of ejaculation on leg performance.
 
Yeah that would be great if they would do that, but it would be hard to find a control variable, because the body is changing all the time...Even if the subject were to do a set of squats where he maxed out, then went to ejaculate and tried again, his legs would still be previously fatigued from maxing the first time. It seems pretty complicated just sitting here thinking about how one might go about doing it.
 
If you are woring out at home than it might help you focus a little especially iof you are going to be doing it anyways. I do not think it has any noticable effects.

I hope you are useing two different towels for clean up. :p

well if you are getting it i say just DONT SAY NO!! if its manual then try and refrain... so moral to this post is SEX YES! Masterbation NO!
 
i heard that sex decreaes a mans performance and increases a woman performance... no wonder my girl is the best on her team! lol
 
Haha, it amazes me, in the short period of time Ive been on these forums this question has popped up quite a bit.

You know, its seriously something Ive never considered.

LOL!!

personnaly never before, but some time after, hell yeah... exercising somehow boosts my libido, and its the same for a few people I know.. Never hurts to burn a few extra calories. :)
