How much Running?

Hello, I've never posted before but i've really enjoyed reading what you all have writen on here for a while. You're all very positive and really inspirational people.

I don't mean to moan on but I thought i'd start from the beginning. I think it was about 7 or so months ago i decided that I really wanted to lose a bit of weight and hopefully tone up and get fitter and healthier in the process. I've lost about 3 stone since then and i'd like to lose about another 12lbs.

For some reason though my weight loss has stopped for a month and recently has started to slowly go up which im completley puzzled (and totally disheartened) about since i haven't changed anything in my diet (about 1000 - 1200 cals a day) and i exercise every day.

Anyway today i feel like the whole thing just fell apart and i've ruined everything. I got so upset with my weight this evening that i ate about 600cals worth of chocolate, something which i never, ever do. I don't know why I did, I just feel awful about it. I feel so upset and i've done so well so far, i can't stop crying about it.

So, i was wondering roughly, on average how much i'd have to run to burn off that amount of calories? and is running the best way?

Thanks for taking the time to read.

Hey, don't worry that your weight loss has slowed down, you've done *fantastic* so far, better than I could ever dream of doing!!!

That happens to everyone as they try to shift the last few pounds, your body doesn't want to get rid of it's last energy reserves!
You may need to shake up your metabolism---try doing different exercises, eating new foods, eating less but more regular........apologies if you know this already!

As for the running Q!
600 calories would be easily burnt off with a 6 mile run, I reckon! or even try walking to work/college and back for a day or two+ that'll even it all out!

Good luck :)

Oh thank you so much, that meant a lot to me! I really feel a lot better about it hearing someone elses view. I think i will try and change my exercises then and see if that helps, fingers crossed!
