So! I hear that one should not consume over 40 grams of sugars per day, which seems to be a problem for me. I consume (sometimes well) over 100 grams of sugar per day. As an example, I've listed recent days of my food log where I found the sugars to be coming from:
Day One:
1.2 Cups of Blueberries: 23 Grams of Sugar
7 Strawberries: 9 Grams
PaleoMeal Whey: 1 Gram
A Peach: 13 Grams
Whole Kernel Corn: 2 Grams
Green Beans: 2 Grams
Edemame: 2 Grams
Mixed Vegetable Pack: 4 Grams
Raw Sweet Potato: 6 Grams
Total: 62 Grams of Sugar
Day Two:
Jazz Apple: 16 Grams
Almond Butter: 4 Grams
Stoneyfield Plain Yogurt: 8 Grams
Oatmeal: 1 Gram
There was sugar in the black beans, peach, strawberries.... so on and so forth - throughout the day.

So, on occasion, for instance, yesterday, I consume over 100 grams. It was mostly due to the dates and prunes I ate yesterday. I'm just curious if even though my sugars are coming from "good" places, is there still a limit? I can't really see myself cutting them out without discarding wonderful fruits and vegetables. It's also quite hard because, while I do consume meat, it is usually only once a week, so I make up for that by having a very colorful diet. Colourful = cellulose = sugar. So what's the big deal about limiting sugar intake?

People say a lot of things. I suspect this is directed more at people who get their sugar in the form of pastries and desserts more so than directly from plants. Although I don't have any medical studies to back up my opinion, I would at most get your glucose checked with a doctor - and if you don't have an issue with blood sugar, and you're able to lose/maintain weight at a rate you're happy with I wouldn't worry about it. You might still want to make sure you're getting enough protein though.

I wouldnt worry to much if its coming from good sources, it sounds like all good food be carefull with the corn and yoghurt.
