Sport how much can I lose on the gi diet?

does it depend on the amount of carbs I eat, or the amount of calories I eat?
Let's say with no extra physical exercise programme..

Can I lose at least 10 pounds(4-5 kilos) per month?
 
How much weight you lose will depend on how many calories you eat compared to how many calories you use.

It's hard to know how big of a deficit you need to be in to lose x amount of pounds, since it depends on the composition of the pound you lose (how much is muscle and how much is fat, etc). 1kg a week of weight loss should be possible. If I were you, I'd just start weighting myself every week, then see what happens. If you don't go down enough, then either exercise more without increasing food intake or decrease your food intake.

hard to say without knowing your caloric expenditure for the next month.

You need about 500 calories UNDER your expenditure, per day, to drop about 1.5lbs per week of fat.

Now, if you're not working out, you don't give the body any reason to burn fat, so more than likely your metabolism will slow down if you ONLY try to diet, so you're likely to lose very little weight doing that.

By the same token, you can workout all day long but if your diet is crappy, you won't make improvements very quickly either.

so if you workout AND eat right, and also give yourself rest/recovery time, its not terribly hard to lose 10lbs in a single month, where that 10lbs is mostly unwanted bodyfat.
 
I do about 20-30 minutes of relatively easy exercise each morning. About 10 minutes warm-up-elements of pilates, then 10 minutes on the bike..dunno what that thing is called..the fitness bike? I think you know what I mean.

I can't last more than 10 minutes-barely on that, though. I had something calculated on the net that said I need 1900 calories to KEEP my weight, so I guess I need to eat a max of 1300 calories per day to lose 10 lbs per month..man, weight loss is hard.
 
in fact it's 2 pm now, and I think I already ate my allowed 1300. I had some potato-pork stew in the morning, then 4 vanilla-cream filled biscuits and 2 glasses of low-fat milk, and 2 pancakes-2 teaspoons of jam each.
 
Did you count it? You should count it.

How do you know 1900kcals? Is that including activit? Probably not..
 
I'm on week 6 on my first ever successful cut ;) I lost 16lbs by week 5, just from frequent eating, low carb meals and doing approx 30 minutes cardio almost every night plus lifting 4-5 times a week.

So....10lbs in a month is more than possible.
