How much can I lose in 4 months?

So I am currently a senior in high school (17 years of age). I play varsity, school football and also varsity hockey. Football season officially ended last Friday and now that I have an extra 3 hours every night I find myself closer to my Xbox more than anyone should, and I fell disgusted. I am roughly 6'3 possibly 6'4 now, and I weigh upwards of 300lbs. Now even with that weight I don't consider myself incredibly unfit, I can run a mile quite easily and I would consider myself quite muscular (Bench press upwards of 250lbs.) I have a planned school trip for March break this school year (Mar. 8 - Mar. 15) to Porta Plata, DR. Not that I am uncomfortable around others, I just like to set deadlines for myself and why not look your best while spending a week in the sun. So my question for you is, what would you best recommend for maximum fat loss. I would like to avoid muscle loss at all possible although I will sacrifice muscle if it means lugging around less weight. Eating tips would be helpful, but I have already done a fair bit of research on the topic and I am prepared to make those changes. But where i am really clueless is the exercise half of the weight loss. I have a gym membership and I spend a lot of time there but I do a lot more lifting weights than anything else. I am open to all suggestions and I truly appreciate if you have read all this.

Oh, and I forgot to mention I am not working at the moment so my budget is quite low, so avoid expensive supplements at all costs. Thanks!

Thanks in advance for the tips!

hey i will put it like this diet and more cardio portion of this yes muscle weights more then fat but get your body fat percentage for your age group and look at it again from there and think ok not trying to be mean when i was your age i weighted over 500 lbs now im 312 so it can be done but this took 6 years for me to get that far into it also when you see your body fat percentage look into what each score means not individual number but the score range in general ie 24-28 theres a safe zone and a dangerous zone it can be done if you have a bit of a problem in your gut area then you focus more on cardio along with weights at the same time then change it up every so often so your body doesnt get used to it
