Sport How Many Calories Are You Consuming?

Sport Fitness
Please tell me how many calories you are consuming a day and also how much you weigh. You're height would also be helpful. It doesn't matter if you are skinny, fat or muscular. I am still interested.

5500-6000+ daily. 6'7" 190lbs.

So your saying that you gained 30 lbs of muscle in a couple of months...... I find it hard to believe that your doing it naturally or that its mostly muscle.

What are you taking?

I take Megestrol ACET. Its basically used for cancer patients as an appetite increaser. I was way underweight and went to the doc and he had me try it out, and it really works. I havent taken it for about 2 weeks now and am still gaining, not as much as I was while on it, but now that I've gotten into the routine of eating, its easier to eat that much as when I was on it. As far as 30lbs of muscle, its not all muscle, like I said, I BELIEVE about 95% of it is because I dont see any real increase in fat on my body, but have just noticed increases in muscle size/strength.

Well, I'm not 100% sure. I am just starting to use a free internet software to help figure out my caloric intake. I haven't been perfect in entering everything, but I generally get at least 95% in. I've been averaging between the mid 3000 calories to just over 4000 calories.

I am 6 foot, 300 lbs. right now. My biggest problem with calories is the breakdown of them, between protein, fat, and carbs. My fat calories tend to be higher then they should be, figuring 55% of my calories from carbs, 25% from proteins, and 20% from total fat. I got these numbers from the suggested percentages by the software, but adjusted them as they had 55%, 15%, and 30% respectively.

You're all going to laugh at this, but its due to my extremely inefficient digestive system:
I am around 5'6", and consume up to 4500 cals/day to bulk up. However, I need to drop that by about 2000 cals to get cut and defined. I used to think that all I needed to do was to drop by about 500 cals or so to lose bodyfat, since I can barely gain a pound on a 4000 calorie diet, but I found out that I barley lost any bodyfat by dropping by so small an amount.
BTW- I do workout for 1.5 hrs/day, 7 days per week (with 40-60 second breaks between sets) so that's also a factor in my high metabolism.

Hey, mind sharing where you got the free internet software? I really have no idea how many calories im consuming, i always thought it was less around 2,000 but i guess im way off!

Tbal, that's a lot of calories. How much do you weigh? I also have ineficient digestion. I don't use calories in fat very well. Apparently I don't produce enough lipase to digest it properly. I would rather that I didn't burn carbs so well instead because it would probably be easier for me to eat more fat calories than to do eat more carb calories.

I weight 122 lbs. Eat about 1500 kcals a days, main sources are fat and protein. Most of my days the only carbs I get are from nuts or an orange or grapefruit. Just had a nice cheese/apple dinner and some water.
It was hard to make my body switch from carbs to fat for main fuel, but now,a year later, it seems like I have little cravings (if any, they are for plain 6.8% fat yogurt), workouts are better and I have gained strength I never expected working out using carbs.
It seems like my body has gotten used to it though, I went down from 18 to 14% body fat and going lower would require more dedication than I expected.

tattoopierced1-why dont you monitor your body fat with callipers or an impednace device to keep track of exactly how much fat and muscle you have put on.

I use fitday.com to track calories, but Im gonna try that one gal suggested now.

I have just started my mass gain program after having 10 months off due to serious back injury. I am 6'1" 155lbs and 2500-3500 cals per day. Hoping to get to 170lbs ASAP whilst maintaining body fat.

Is there a calculation on how much calories you need to consumer for a - marathon runner?
