How long will it take?

I am 15 and am going to start weight lifting tomorrow. I will be doing it 2 or 3 times a week, about 1 or 2 hours. I'll do push ups and sit ups and other ground exercises as well, even on the days I don't lift. How long will it take before I start seeing physical progress?

1 workout.

What are your goals?

What is your current bodily composition like?

Are you going to train at home or at a gym?

What is your weight training plan? What exercises have you decided to do.

Have you learned your calorie Maintenance line that would be inline with your goal plans?

How long it will take largely depends on your current starting point and your goals and the WILL to mert this goal.

Detail what you desire and answer my questions, and I will try to assist you.

Best wishes to you!

ROCK ON!

Gotta agree with the earlier poster -- depends on lots of factors. Where you're at right now, genetics, what your idea of "progress" is, etc., etc. Just understand that if you start now, and STICK WITH IT, you *will* make great gains. It may take a couple months, it may be a year or two before you feel totally transformed. As with most things in life, the iron game is about PERSISTENCE more than anything else.

Oh yeah, be prepared to hear a lot of conflicting advice. There's a lot of juvenile "my workout can beat up your workout," especially on this site. Still, read, watch and consider all of it; you will figure out soon enough how to pick and choose the things that work best for you.

Now go get lifting, Young Grasshopper!
