How Long Will It Take to Build Muscle Mass?

I am a 19 year old female. I am a beginner at weight training ive started about 2 and a half weeks ago. I am already noticing a muscle increase. I can gain weight very easily and if i try i can loose weight. I am 135lbs and 5'5inches. I spend about 45 minutes in the gym with 10 minutes of cardio. I just want to know if i continue this way how long will it take me to gain muscle mass. I eat very healthy and take suppliments. I take two days off for rest and train two muscle groups in one training day. Thanks a lot!

There's a reasonable chance that the muscle increase you've observed in yourself isn't actually muscle mass but inflammation, especially if it's what you're observing immediately after training.

Anyway, depending on various factors (quality of program, consistent effort, coaching, motivation, nutrition, recovery), it's not unheard of for beginners to increase their muscle mass by 10-20% in the first 6 months of training. Typically, people trying to improve muscle mass will aim to improve their main lifts in the gym every week, while gaining 0.5-1lb bodyweight/week. This will require an increase in caloric intake, and ideally you'll be consuming about 1g/lb bodyweight/day in protein.

Watch what you eat and have balanced meals with a snack between each. Diet is the hidden secret of muscle building :)
