How Long To Run??

How long should i ideally run for. I tend to go in the morning before ive eaten anything and usually can only manage about 20-25 mins but should i be running for longer?

I think it depends on what your goal is. I know that to get any cardio benefit, you need at least 20 minutes of raised heart rate.

For other benefits such as weight loss I don't know what the therapeutic minimum would be, but I am guessing there are charts that can give you guidelines as how many calories per hour you are burning and at what intensity your run is.

well running in the morning before you eat anything is a very bad idea.. if your body has no protein to maintain its muscles, it breaks them down and uses them for energy.
so maybe some whey protein 30 min before you run would help your cause..

and maybe you dont want bigger muscles, but the bigger the muscles (maybe even by just a little bit), the more calories they consume just to exist!
