How long should I keep the same workout routine?

I workout two times a week in my home with limited equipment. My question is how long should I keep the same workout routines for? I do two different full body workouts per week, should I do the same exercises each week, change it up each time, or stick with it and change the amount of reps and sets? My goals are to lose 5lbs and maintain overall good health/fitness.

Once a month, since you're doing two different full workouts per week, you can switch the order of those workouts and increase the intensity. Also you can mix some from the first workouts with the second one.

To lose 5lbs you have to burn fat and increase the intensity (shorter rest periods and compound exercises) will increase your metabolism and help you burn faster.

Hope that helps!

Keep your 2 workouts the same but make sure each week you are progressing (more reps or sets) but considering you only want to lose 5lbs I assume your body fat % is rather low and you are close to your main goal, this means your diet will play 99% part in determining whether or not you can lose 5lbs, keep the carbs really low on non workout days (under 100g)

If you get the body you want to keep and maintain then simply do the same exercises for the same reps each week once you get to where you want so you can maintain.

I agree with the above post about shorter rest periods which will increase your heart rate and boost your metabolism.
