How long should I jog?

Hey! I'm a 15 y/o guy who has a 20.4 BMI. I currently jog for 20 min on "A" days and 12 min on "B" days and take a rest day where I don't jog at all.

I can jog 20 minutes without too much of a problem. I might stop once for 15-20 seconds to get a drink, but other than that, its pretty easy.

My feet and knees are giving me the most problems, probably because I'm not using running shoes. My quads and calves and whatnot feel perfectly fine, almost untouched.

I think what I'm doing is a bit too easy for me. Is there a rule of thumb for how long I should jog? I don't want to get injured.
 
It depends on what your goals are? Do you want to lose weight, do you want to just improve you fitness levels, do you just want to jog for fun?
