So by following a nutritional pyrimad I set up for my age, weight and height, I made up a general meal plan. I'm wondering what your input would be on how healthy this sounds. Should I be able to lose fat and gain muscle eating this and woking out 30-60 minutes a day, along with a few days of weight training?

I'm trying to focus on making sure I have a certain amount of nutritional food groups during the day. I hardly even have to focus on calories because it is difficult to go over or under my calorie goal as long as I follow it.If it goes well I will keep this up and make a few more lists to see what else I can do with this outline.

it's going to be tough to gain muscle unless you're eating at a caloric surplus...

your diet - for - seems bland and not something that woudl be able to be stuck with for any period of time... and you're also really light on fiber which makes your body happy...

Why not switch out the eggs at dinner with a chicken breast or some fish or something different?

Losing fat and gaining muscle at the same time is usually near impossible, unless you have freaky genetics.

What you should be focusing on is losing fat and maintaining your muscle. Although this will even be hard for you as you don't really have enough protein in your diet.

Where did you get the figure for apples? Must be a tiny apple to be only 55 calories? I ate a 55 calorie apple this morning and I probably got two bites out of it.

If I were you, I would get rid of the peanuts. Nothing special about them really, and the salt is not great for you.

Why are you eating only brunch? Your basically skipping a meal there. Why not try having breakfast and lunch?

I think you need some variety in there, that diet won't last long cause it's pretty boring. Maybe add some lean protein in there (unless you are vegetarian)? Like skinless chicken, turkey, lean steak, tuna, fish?
