Sport how is my diet???

Sport Fitness
Here's my current diet plan, i'm adjusting it as I go but anyone's input would be great. From what i've read is that the best way to start losing weight is a good diet (which i've neglected). I'm incorporating this with a cardio/weight training program as well but have no idea where my diet stands  :

Breakfast :2 eggs and OJ
Snack :Bran Cereal w/1% mild
Lunch :Salad w/tuna
-typical sides include corn/olives/cucumber w/italian dressing
Snack :Apple/Orange/Banana or Peanut Butter on toasted wheat bread
Dinner :chicken/fish with steamed veggies
Snack :cottage cheese

My general stats:
age: 25
height: 5' 11''
weight: 215

it looks healthier than my diet was when i lost a heap of weight...id say stick to that...im no nutritionist though.

yeah, you will get pretty sick of that after a while. there are still things that you can eat that are really tasty.
pizza, you can make a bread base, use low fat motzarella or 50-50.
burgers, you can make your own burger patte with lean mince meat and onion.

most things that are unhealthy are only unhealthy because they are made of high fat, proccessed meats. there are not many things that you cant make your self.
and it doesnt take that long. I spend maybe 3 hour in the kitchen once a week and I make burgers, chop up salad and veg, make chilli or spaghetti, protien powder cakes. all sorts and freeze it all. so I get a burger out in the morning to defrost, then cook it on the gorge foreman grill for 10mins, while I put a potato in the microwave and get some veggys out the box in the fridge.

you got a jacket potato, fresh grilled veg and a huge burger in a bap in less than 15mins.

I figured that would happen (getting tired of the same thing) but until i figured out some new recipes it will have to do. Your food ideas sound great and I will have to throw that into the mix as well

invest in a number of flavoured extra virgin olive oils as well.
they are high in fat, but its good healthy fats.
try some garlic, peppered, basil and chilli as so on

they are expensive but worth it.

things do get boring, but you can do a lot with oils. you can have oil in your sandwich instead of butter which is much better for your heart as well as your gut.
garlic or chilli oils can make the same old veg a bit new.
basil oil changes chicken quite a lot.
oil is much better for you than salad dressings.

note, make sure your not over cooking your veg, dont boil all the goodness out, get a steamer, grill or microwave. boilling for 4-5mins can take 60% of the minerals from brocoli
