I would like to know if there are any ways to improve my daily food choices to keep me looking thin. Recently I've gained a little weight, but I've cut out a few things since then (sugary fat-free caramel sauces, fattening nuts...) I'll recap today's choices and if anyone would like to take a look and tell me how I can improve, that'd be great.
Anyway, I eat 6 times a day and breakfast is my largest meal. I drink a glass and a half of water with 3 meals, a glass with the other 3. I also drink one calorie-free, carbonated energy drink each day to rev my metabolism.
Breakfast:
Yogurt (60 calories, 0 fat)
Honey Bunches of Oats Cereal (I pour a truckload... cereal is my one weakness. I estimate 400+ calories and 3-4 fat) with 1/2 cup skim milk (40 calories, 0 fat)
Lunch:
Grilled Cheese & Chicken Sandwich:
-2 slices of wheat bread (70 calories, 0.5 fat total)
-2 slices of lowfat cheese (100 calories, 5 fat total)
-2 slices of deli-sliced chicken breast (I'm unsure of the calories and fat in this amount. There are supposedly 6 servings in the bag, and each serving is 70 calories and 2.5 fat, though there are way more than 12 slices in the bag.)
Banana (unsure)
Snack:
Small package of dried fruit (90 calories, 0 fat)
Slice of wheat bread (35 calories, 0.25 fat)
Larger snack:
Total Raisin Bran cereal (3/4 of a serving, about 150 calories and <1 fat) with 1/3 cup skim milk (30 calories, 0 fat)
Corn on the cob, half (70 calories, 1 fat)
Broccoli (a small amount, taken from my parents' Chinese takeout. Unsure of the calories; it had a bit of sweet & sour sauce on it.)
Snack:
Popsicle (50 calories, 0 fat)
Dinner:
Kashi frozen meal (240 calories, 5 fat)
Spoonful of low sugar grape jelly (about 25 calories, 0 fat)
I'm thinking I need to indulge a little less in the cereal, but I'd rather cut out some of the other stuff before doing that.
Any suggestions?
Oh, and I'm 16 and female.
