How the hell is someone supposed to eat right around the holidays? Especially for a recovering food addict...I mean seriously?

How do you guys do it?

personally, i dont worry about being 100% perfect around the holidays or on any special occassion. i'm good 90-95% of the time and that does well.

christmas day i only followed about 30% of my meal plan but who cares. i was with family and friends and enjoyed my day. the next day got back on schedule :)

abears right.

Exaclty. Except for me, the last 2 weeks I've stopped being active, and eating all the junkfood I can get my hands on.

Come Jan1st, thats all over. Im trying to enjoy it while I can.

yeah I agree its really hard, I my self have been eating the junk food, cheating ect.. I am trying to hang tough, try and strike up some motivation. That helps, or a goal that you want to achieve with your body or in your training.

I have not cheated on diet this holiday. Be careful what you eat especially if you are one of those people who will need six months to shed off what you took in two weeks!

Tonight is new years eve and my 4 year old daughter is making me sandwhiches made of slices of radishes with carrots and broccoli in between, what the heck she is having fun and I am staying healthy, hopfully it will offset the few beers I am having for the new year,ay? I love her for this!!

Happy new year everyone! :D

I cheated all over xmas. I drank beer with friends, went out for meals and generally forgot all about my fitness regime. I would rather have memories of excess and frivolity than memories of abstinence and misery :D

However, this is only at Christmas and would not necessarily work for everyone!

lol bob, carrots and broccoli in a sandwich?! Her choice presumably?

ahh we all cheat alittle over the holidays. i had a couple chocolates. big deal as long as you don't go all out. keep your head ya know. lucky for me i don't like all the pies etc. so it does make it way easier..

Well there was no bread, the radish slices took the place of the bread, then everything else that she could pile on in the middle. Yes her idea, we were all eating veggies anyway but she had to be creative. :)
