How has this site changed you?

-40lbs + muscle = one happy me :p

Mostly it's the community experiance; it's the feeling of not being alone with your fitness adventures :)

Even though I've been here for awhile, when I began to post my training journals on here I was more commited and focused than I had been in years. Over the summer I barely had any time to post or to train and I've gone backwards pretty bad. So I'm going to make an effort to be more active here and to post my training journals and see if I can get back on track.

im now eating breakfast lol, which i never used to do, and of course my exercise routine includes weights now, mostly i attribute that to my husband since hes the one that got me into that, but really he learned that on here :)

I'm not so sure that it's changed me, but it has made the going easier and more pleasant... Rather like being at a good tavern with good people.

Yeah its changed me a lot.
I started off 2 years ago knowing nothing about weight training.
Shortly after goining this forum, I started at a gym, met tones of people in the fitness comunity, gained 28lbs of muscle, got my resting heart rate down from 85bpm to 65bpm, became a moderator for the biggest fitness forum in the world and spent time with some nice ladies to!

This site has changed me a lot because Im finally choosing the healthy ways to lose weight. I would say I had/have an eating disorder just not the way they are defined exactly. Ive tried the whole starvation thing, starvation and exercise, and starvation, exercise and drugs like ephedra which increase heartbeat and can cause heartattack if used while exercising...not a good idea obviously. And, I cant even try clothes on without crying in the mirror. But finally I found the site and seeing what changes people have had from these workouts and diets, really motivated me and Im actually enjoying working out now. And what shocked me the most is that I need to eat MORE...because of all the exercise. Anyway, Im still very new to this but Im learning a lot and Im lucky to have realized what I was doing wrong at an earlier stage than some..so nice meeting all of you, and thanks to those who have helped!

It opened my eyes to how much there actually is in the fitness world. I used to think I could just move the weights around all day and expect to do whatever I wanted, and end up like a superhero.

Overtraining made me look cool.
