Sport How far would you go for nutrition?

Sport Fitness
Something I stumbled upon;

Look at that AWESOMENESS!! XD

100g of grasshoper has around 20g of protein?! How many of you would incorporate that into your diet? :D

Never..

Ever..

Simply not gona happen..

Grasshoper is not even the best source of protein. I would stick with meats, fish, and powder. But other than that piles of dirt if it made me bigger, stronger, etc.

I eat stuff I don't much like all the time so if I thought it would be better for me than what I eat now then sure.

But notice that beef and cod both show as higher on here in protein than the bugs, and I eat both of them already. I was most surprised by how much fat some bugs have.

I thought the title of this thread was going to say "How far would you go for a Klondike Bar?"

Would you...would kill a man?

I know not the healthiest choice but I really like the cod dried and cured in salt that they used to ship back to Europe in the old days. It's actually one of the things I would eat on a cheat day, or the beer battered cod at my neighborhood pub with a little Ketih's to wash it down.

Dammit now I am hungry at 1AM.

"Cod is the King of the sea." According to some saying I heard on Iron Chef. Plus I think it has some kind of cultural significance in like Taoism or Chinese Buddhism.

I eat cod, but I'm never thrilled about it. I prefer to see a bass or a salmon on the table, but I don't think I'm a big fish lover, anyway. Atleast not big enough for the amount I eat.

In the UK we eat a lot of cod. Fish and chips.

I'd steer clear of it though. Normal portion of fish and chips is under 30g of protien but over 1000cals.

I hate cod, it has no flavor. I only eat things I like.

Grasshopper 20g protien per 100g.

peanut butter 28.7g
2 slices of granery bread 13g
tot protien =41.7g

Keep in mind that a grass hopper weighs about 5g so you'd have to eat 40 before and after your workout. I'd rather have peanut butter on toast.

Mayb getting off topic I was just wondering how come you get a lot of Cod in UK and it's almost non existant in Western Canada? I know battered fish is high in calories and fat, but so tasty once in a blue moon.

I love cooking with cod, it has a great texture and the light flavor makes it great in stew or soup. Nothing like Paella.
