how effective is this?

hi guys..

i know many people have posted msgs related to skipping but my doubts weren't really cleared..

how effective is skipping if i want to lose weight? And at what intensity and duration should i do it?

i have to lose about 13pounds in about 3 months. is that realistic and possible?
