How Does This Happen Anyway?

You just can't ignore the smell of decomposing flesh ...

Woman found living with three dead siblings

CHICAGO (Reuters) - An elderly woman has been living with two skeletons and a badly decomposed body of her siblings in a suburb of Chicago, one of whom may have died at least 20 years ago, authorities said on Saturday.

The remains were found covered by sheets in various parts of the house in Evanston on Friday but no foul play was suspected.

Authorities said one of the siblings was last seen alive in the 1980s, the second in 2003 and the third in May.

The woman living in the house, described as "upwards of 90 years of age," was cooperating in the investigation and was taken to a facility for care.

Authorities, who did not release the names of the deceased, said a care worker had alerted them to the situation. Autopsies were due to be performed on Saturday.

A little weird.

1) Funerals cost money
2) Dead people don't keep receiving social security or pension benefits
3) They don't eat, never interupt, bitch about which channel your watching or complain
4) Like the heat of a hot jacuzzi, you get used to the smell... :)

If you have some dead corpses covered in sheets in your home.....you might be a red-neck. ; )

My hunch, it was about the money......

They may well of had mental illnesses and didn't know what to do. This kind of thing is fairly common

I just want to know how they plan on conducting autopsies on the 2 skeletons

It really is pretty common, just a couple years ago there was a case here in Cincy. Some lady had been living with her dead family, very similar to this case.

Thats messed up! I don't know how many of you have smelled a dead body, but it really is a terrible smell.

I manage a 350 unit apartment complex and we had a guy that died in his apartment, that we found a week later. I went to post the notice on his door because we didnt receive his rent and I heard the TV on. I knocked, and nobody answered. Well, he had a stroke when he was sitting on the toilet, and litteraly died in the bathroom. He was laying on the floor completely bloated. It didn't help that it was the middle of summer...

yes...its a true story...unfortunately.

No, I watch very little TV. Now that Heroes has jumped the shark I'm waiting for the new season of Lost before I watch anything else

pending threadjack...

You think Heroes has gone too far this season? Sure, its a rollercoaster of twists, but they are adding more to the back-plot again.
