Hi Everyone in Team Cohens!

I am on the first day of my third week today and I am so proud of myself for sticking to Cohen's 100%.

It has not been easy what with preparing meals for both my 2 year old son and husband, plus dealing with cravings and feeling annoyed with 2 failed recipe attempts so far, but I am finding my favourites and still trying new things from the Recipe Book.

So, last Friday, a lady came to the door offering me a certificate from a local beauty salon. It offered a huge saving on a number of services that they offer.
I bought in and now I have a treatment on Saturday morning.

I will make this a regular thing! I am taking more pride in grooming myself more every day. I didn't realise how long it had been since I painted my toenails and put a colour through my hair, so I've done both of those too in the last couple of days.

What do you do to reward yourself for all this hard work?
(I know, the reward is the weight loss, but week by week we should be congratulating ourselves too I think!)

Looking forward to reading your ways,

Shine

Hey Shine

After loosing 40kg's I bought an expensive new handbag which I LOVE!!! Everytime I look at it I think of the journey and how this is just a small reward compared to how I feel.

I also like to get my nails done, get a massage, get my hair done or even a blow-dry as this is special. I have bought myself new make-up and had a make-over at John Lewis (local London department store) and that made me feel really special :)

Oooww and of course buying a multitude of new clothing to fit my new bod!

xx

i just did this this past weekend. I went and bought myself some new clothes and i got six inches cut off on my hair so its a lil below my shoulders now. My new hair and clothes are giving me even more of an incentive to loose the weight.

I went through a lot of sizes on my way down (UK size 32 to 10) and the temptation was there not to buy new clothes every week when I knew that I would be a different size the following month. Money does not grow on trees...

Then I realised that I had given so many good clothes to charity shops so maybe it would be worth seeing what clothes they had in my new size.

It was so affordable I was able to buy myself several new clothes items every week. The change in clothes size meant that I was able to see the difference in size that I was achieving. I was able to afford to wear clothes that fitted me properly and therefore feel really good about my appearance. Then a couple of months later when I had gone down a couple of sizes they could go back to the charity shop.

People give such new looking clothes in to these places that no-one would ever guess where you had bought them. I managed to convince my husband that I was just brilliant at shopping for bargains.

You even get the warm glowy feeling that says that a good cause has benefitted by your actions...

You can even afford to buy something that you really like in the next size down and have tucked away to inspire you towards the next step in your journey.

Clothes has been my favourite, but a new hairdo is another, and I LOVE pedicures too - very relaxing. Our local salon does a really good job of those! Otherwise - weekend away with husband if we can spare the time.

In 3 months I was down from a UK size 22 to 14. I rewarded myself the "holy grail of all bags" the big H...
I hope I can resist the temptation of deviating once in a while. I thank God so much for this support group.
