Hey Matt......Sup?

I bake my fish, with a little garlic salt and parmeson. I buy a box of a certain type and it has the amount of calories per piece on the box (about 100c each). I put foil on a pan, and spray no calorie cooking spray before putting the fish on it. I sometimes bake chicken the same way. But, I sometimes microwave it in a special way, and then cut it into chunks (put garlic and parmason on top mix it together, and then mix this with long grain brown rice--to me its YUMMY! And, good protein and complex carbs--and a small amount of fiber)

There are no calories in the correct cooking spray. I eat eggs, but I tend to do it in a rather strange way than most. After making long grain brown rice, and its steaming hot, I sometimes will crack two eggs and mix this in. I wait a few minutes, and you'd be suprised how this actually cooks in with the rice (its nearly like frying it forms like this, but in chunks in with the rice).

Olive oil is fine, its mostly unsat, and mono-unsat fats, which are good fats. Think (Natty) peanut butter (it too has the same sort of fats) though these are two different source foods.

I just pour my eggs on a hot pan, and stir them around a bit, turns into nice scrambled eggs and it's easy and quick.

Cheers all so I think I will be starting my diet on sunday as I have my induction day at the gym so looks like thats where it starts.

Just been on a bit of a food shop, bought some sweet potatoes, eggs, oatmeal 2 bags, lemon sole (fresh fish), Brown Rice, olive oil, tuna, peanut butter.

But what is natural peanut butter that you guys use?.

Hopefully soon will buy some whey protein also. Got a lot of fruit and veggies already in so thats a help.

Am I right in thinking basically:

Carbs earlier in the day, fats later in the day and protein all round. Then simple carbs post work out?

Thanks all

I use "Smuckers" Natural Peanut Butter. Just Peanuts and Salt, no other added ingredients, and its just......fantastic. I adore and love peanut butter (its a major but controllable weakness I have had all my life). Just watch the servings, as this can be a calorie killer. Eating it is just FINE....good fats.

I use a non stick spray. I was making a 3 eggs scrambled, mixed peppers, spinach, tomatoes and turkey sausage. However I recently discovered corned beef and it is so much tastier then the TS.

For cooking other meats, I use a Weber grill.

I do two large eggs, scrambled. I occasionally eat it with a wrap.

As for my lean meat and fish, I usually broil my chicken, cook fish with extra virgin olive oil, bbq lean meat, and so fort. I rarely oil fry something.

I love 3 minute soft-boiled eggs! Put eggs in cold water in a pot. Turn on high heat until the water boils. Take off heat and after 3 minutes, pour cold water over eggs to stop cooking.

Enjoy.

I eat the yolks (I am on Lipitor), but you many prefer to eat only the whites.

As for fish, I generally eat fish I have caught (I have a boat and fish 2 or 3 x / month). I usually bake fillets in a tomato sauce.

Just a thought, but isn't the fact that you need to be on Lipotor a pretty good reason NOT to eat the yolks? We have a boat, but rarely get to fish lately (bummer).

------
I scramble my eggs (whites w/ a bit of a yolk). Spray some Pam, scramble them and top with a little reduced fat cheddar and picante sauce.

Hellzz Yea. If it is meat, use the grill.

Grill = Fat drips off + tastes better

Grill the veggies. For around $10 you can get one of the cool grill pans. You can stir fry w/ just no fat spray, really do anything you would do on a stove.

The difference is.

No Clean-up + tastes better.

A win-win situation.

I usually crack four or five eggs into a bowl then I chuck all sorts of left over stuff in there like ham, steak chicken veges etc then I eat it all up!
