How do i lose weight exactly?!

Next year i'll be taking a gap year before university and I would really like to lose a bit of weight first, but I need advice!
I'm a 17 year old girl, i'm 5'4 and i weigh 10.5 stones. I feel like i weigh far too much for my size, and i barely know any other girls who weigh this much!
However, my weight is weird because it doesn't seem like I weigh this much, my bra size is 32E and i have an hourglass figure. But at the same time, i'm chubby and i've always been chubby which makes me quite insecure. I've always had a chubby face, including huge cheeks and i'm starting to get a double chin. I would also like to get rid of my belly and have a flat stomach, and reduce arm fat.

How do i do all of this?! Keep in mind i don't exactly want to reduce the fat from my boob and bum region, I just don't want to look fat when I wear loose clothing but I always do. Also, i have a year to do this.

You are very young and if you start dieting at this age chances are that you'll fighting with yo-yo dieting your whole life. So be very aware of any diet that promises you big changes in little time, and of course stay away from pills, teas and other ugly stuff.

Your age is a plus for you. Your weight management friendly hormones are still very active so it won't be very difficult to lose weight for you.

It is very difficult to help you with that little information, but the main thing for you will be to stay away from manufactured foods, learn how to get healthy groceries and to cook your basics: you have a whole year to do it right? you can do it! Stay away from bad fats (trans fats etc basically in manufactured food and fried food). Lean about portion sizes. Haw 4 to 5 meals a day. Have 1 or 2 healthy snacks a day.Say yes to good fat (olive and coconut oil, butter and avocado). Consume as little sugar as possible (including any drinks and 0 cal ones). Reduce carbs to 2 servings per day. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. Drink lots of water.

Sleep at east to 8 hours a day. Start an strength training program 2 to 3 days a week (20 min) following by cardio (30 min). Rest of the days do some exercise, at least 30 min walk.
