How do I get this kind of body?

Hello! I'm a incoming freshman into highschool, and i'm really excited! I've been doing marching band this summer, and its been terrific.

Since i'm getting older, i'd really like to get serious about my body.

Before 8th grade, I was really into cardio, which was cool. till I ended up at 125 and 5'9 with no muscle, yikes.

And from march at the end of 8th, I started 5x5 stronglifts, and fooled around a little. It was cool, it got me used to weights etc. But I never got to high with numbers, squat was at like 120. Its been a week since I stopped so I probably can still maintain all my weights.

But i'd like to achieve this kind of body

I'm just really curious on how I can acheive the kind of abs that Harry Styles has, it's really not ripped, but its there and noticable.
I have my own Chest/Back/BiTricep thing I found but i'd really like to know about the core work I need.

Thanks in advance!

Do you still weigh 125lb? I think about 3 months of any progressive resistance program and moderate weight gain (0.5lb/wk, caused by increasing energy consumption by about 250kcal/day) will pretty much get you there, since the guy in the pictures has a body that is nothing that can't be achieved as a beginner.

You're still very young but you could still achieve his physique through basic dieting. You'll need to figure out your caloric maintenance and your macronutrient breakdown (there are many calculators available online for this). Once you've figured that out start removing calories (from carbs) until you're in a 500 calorie deficit each day. I recommend dropping about 250 calories from each day per week. Remembering that 3,500 calories = 1lb. A daily 500 calorie deficit will allow you to lose about 1lb a week. Looking at these pictures your end goal will be about 10% body fat maybe a little higher. Your diet is going to be the big determining factor on whether or not you get those abs to come out and remember depending on your genetics your abs may look quite different than his. Good luck!

Edit: unless you're trying to gain weight. Then you will need to be in a surplus of calories and shouldn't expect to have abs during this process :p

What kind of ab workout though? It looks like he doesnt directly work them, so what do you suspect?

The only reason it doesn't look like he directly works his abs is because it doesn't look like he's gone to great lengths to build any part of his body. Like I said, his physique is nothing outside the normal realms of beginner. He might do lots of direct ab work -- fact is he hasn't progressed very far in terms of what is normally achievable over the long term. I don't mean that as a negative statement, just an observation. I really have no idea whether he does direct ab work or not, but regardless of what he does, it's hardly something that I can say with certainty is applicable to you, because both of you would have had different starting points. In saying that, for what it's worth, my body used to look a lot like his, and at the time I was mostly doing squats, deadlifts, leg presses, bench press, pull ups, overhead press and rows...incidentally, not a lot has changed at the core of my programming today, I've just progressed enough to put another 15lb of muscle on my frame, use a few more variations, and polish off the edges with a few simple isolation exercises.

Keep a food journal and weigh yourself regularly, keeping track of each pound and inch you lose. By keeping track of your weight loss efforts, you’ll see the results in black and white, which will help you stay motivated.
