How do I get fit and lean in a healthy way?

Hello! I'm a 17 year old girl and I have realised that I am living rather unhealthily and would like to change that. And I have noticed that my face has gotten rounder and my stomach and thighs are not toned at all.
I eat whatever I want, candy everyday and so on, i put sugar even in my yoghurt and I never exercise. The thing is, I don't really need to lose any weight since I am a perfectly healthy 130 lbs 5 ft. 7.
Still I want to burn some fat so that my face will get leaner again, my stomach flatter and thighs toned.

How often and how should I excercise? What should I eat? I have huge problems with selfcontrol so I think lists and strict rules are the only way to go for me, otherwise I won't stick to it.
Thanks for your help.

Careful with the "strict rules" If you are having control issues cutting off all the junk cold turkey may lead you to relapse back to it. I believe that if you are eating as bad as your post eludes you should make some big changes but dont try to do a complete 180 in your eating habits in one night. First make a list of all the unhealthy eating habits you have currently; for example, sugar on yogurt, candy every day (how much?), are you eating fast food everyday? drinking a lot of Mt. Dew?

When you have your list try to identify the major offenders and start with eliminating those first (how many you start with depends on how big the list is, you post up a more in-depth list we can look at it and give you some more thorough suggestions for how much and what to drop when). I am not going to try to fool you, the first few weeks when you give up some junk food wont be fun, but after that it will get progressively easier. Then pick some more things from the list and eliminate them. Keep working down in this fashion and in time you will see results and start truly appreciating the effort you put in to drop the bad habits, you may even start to look at all that junk food differently and have no desire to have it even when you have met your health goals (this situation would be ideal).

Exercise ideally is something that should occur everyday in some form. The American heart association recommends 30 minutes of moderate physical activity everyday to really benefit. Keep in mind though that this doesn't mean you have to jump on the treadmill everyday for 30 minutes. moderate physical activity is anything that involves moving with a purpose that elevates your heart rate to a moderate level; take up an activity you may find fun like basketball, rollerblading, swimming, or any other activity or combination of activities just make sure you enjoy it! Another thing you can do to be a little more active everyday is make some additional little changes such as taking the stairs rather than the elevator, walk more often rather than drive, park farther away from your destination, find something to do around the house that gets you off the couch or computer and keeps you active, stand more often rather than sit down.

If you are craving something sweet try some fruit! Delicious and healthy =)

Mindset and focus are two of the most important things you need, once you master them self control will happen

yoga exercise is a good one, cardio, abs, bellyand ball exercise, walking is good for you,you should exercise 3 times a day. fish, chicken breasts,, turkey meat, salad, egg whites, fruits and vegetables, brown rice whole wheat bread, whole wheat pasta and other gain foods, stay away from soda and anything that have alot of sugar in them try cut down on the sugar and on the processed food and on tansfat and check the labels when you go shopping most of them are loaded with sodium. healthy fats are virgin oil, coconut oil, flax seeds, almonds, and other nuts. The natural sugar from fruits and vegetables is ok.
