Hey Garbageguy.. First off, I know what you are saying bro. What to eat? Where do I get my nutrients.
There is the school of thought: Just everything you can see and then go on a cutting phase after.
I personally like to eat healthy and keep my BF at bay rather than just 'load up' and then spend lots of time cutting later.
As you know from being a hardgainer, you sometimes have to eat yourself sick just to keep growing (or in some extreme cases, just maintain..)
I am assuming from your avatar that you are a shorter guy, which will likely work to your advantage. This of course depends on ones opinion, but generally shorter folks can pack on a fairly small amount of muscle and it is very noticable.
ANYHOW....
Foods to eat. A good idea is to separate the foods into the 3 main sections.
Carbohydrates, Proteins and fats.
SO lets make up a quick list for sh*ts and giggles.
Carbohydrates
Oats
Whole Wheat Breads
veggies
Fruits
and for post workout nutrition: Maltodextrin/dextrose..
Proteins
Chicken
fish
eggs
whey
veggies (no one vegetable provides the essential amino acids, but specific combinations can accomplish the necessary 8((or 9))
Fat
Flax
Udos oil (a combination of high quality cold presed oils to provide your EFAs)
Fish Oil Caps
...
You can buy certain foods that are EFA Enriched (like eggs..) But generally they will not hold enough EfAs to really make any dent anyways.
....
Do you have a diet put together?
Perhaps your could PM it to me, or even post it up here, then we could pick it apart and give you some insight.
Incase you are curious, I eat:
Multivitamin
Eggs and whole wheat tortillas

Whey shakes
MRP shakes
Tuna on whole wheat sandwhiches
Protein rich cottage cheese
Udos oil (mix with my shakes)
Chicken breast (highest in protein, lowest in fat)

veggies.

various other supps...
I consume approx 3 litres of water each day.
