how do i get a smaller butt? (male)

Ok, here's the deal.
I store all of my fat in my thies and butt. I've always had a ghetto booty...and I'm a guy. My butt sticks out a lot, and I was wondering if there is any way to flatten it out through excercise. It has also gotten wide lately...but I know that's because I haven't worked out in a while. (I'm about to go back to a strict excercise routine and diet...any advice in these areas would be greatly appreciated) My thies are also very fat, and I've never been able to make them lean.

(I've heard running helps elongate the leg muscles, and I've also heard that squats will make my butt stick out even more)

For a guy to store fats in his thighs and butt is not really common because guys usually store their fat in their abdominal region. But anyways that doesn't matter. You need to be aerobic about this. 3-4 days a week, you need to pick an activity that is aerobic. it can be anything that you want... x-country skiing, swimming, jogging, walking... tha's up to you! i recommend also that you combine that work out with a bit of weight training. Since your goal is to lose it, weight lifting should be secondary. Weightlifing builds fat burning enzymes... this means, the more fat burning enzymes you have, the better the fat will start to burn. Fat cells don't dissapear, they only shrink, remember that! your not losing the fat, your making the fat cells smaller! Anyways, try that. if it's too much, bring it down a notch to 2 days a week, and instead of heavy exercise, maybe do some light aerobic exercise... nothing big.. like a half hour walk or anything like that, that you can do with ease, but still requires you to do some work.

You want weights and cardio to drop the fat, but there is no way to pick where the fat is lost from. So you will just have to drop fat everywhere and let your body decide where to take it from.
 
You should check out beyonce's butt workouts. She exercises her but for like 30 minutes a day.
