Hey I have this extra fat around my waist and it really looks bad. I'm not fat, I just need to lose about 5-7 kgs and I can say that most of that extra weight just gathered around my waist. I walk for 30 minutes every day but doesn't make any difference I will also start cycling but I'm not sure if it's going to work too. Can you please give me some advices about what to do, which exercises to do?

Hey buddy I think it's time for a reality check.

I'm Fat, but I'm not really Fat.......make up your mind.

'' I walk for 30 minutes every day"......I see people walk 4 miles/hour and faster, I also see people walk 2 mph......
So What is the purpose of your Walks?

It should be, to lift your Heart rate. Simple....... which causes all manner of things.

Speeds up your metabolism
Makes you feel Good
etc

How badly do you want to lose the extra kgs?

From Results so far it would appear.......not for me to say.

Maybe all you need is to pick up the pace a bit.

In my experience, a heart rate monitor (cheap as, on ebay.....basic model, no bells & whistles) can be a great tool.
Find out what you optimum fat burning Zone is, and spend as much time in it as you can.

Hey Start doing waist exercises all are very easy no Gym machines required, no need to join Gym. start drinking beetroot water. take 5 almonds every day. Take less sugar but stop taking it otherwise your sugar level will be low and you will feel low energize. Walk for fun for atleast 2-30 minutes . don't make yourself stressed that you have to lose weight. wear blue color and stop wearing red color or red things or red home setting it will make you feel more hungry.
Include fruits and vegetables. drink lemon water in morning for quick results.

Steps to Lose weight in waist:

Step 1

Cut back on your daily intake marginally to promote weight loss. Monitor your current intake for five days, add the totals up and divide by five to get a rough estimate of your current daily intake. Reduce this amount by 500. This will cause about 1 pound of weight loss a week in your waist and throughout the rest of your body.

Step 2

Eat healthy foods and multiple meals throughout the day. Feeding your body frequently will keep your metabolism elevated and hunger satisfied. Consume your first meal when you first get up and continue to eat every 2 to 3 hours thereafter. Base these meals around healthy foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans, lean meats, fish and low-fat dairy products. A whole wheat pita with low-fat cheese, lettuce and tomato is a quick, healthy meal.

Step 3

Burn fat in your waist and through the rest of your body with sprints. Sprint training burns a high amount of calories, it boosts your metabolism and it forcefully works your muscles to keep them toned and defined. Start your workouts with a light five-minute warm-up jog to slowly raise your core body temperature. Sprint as fast as you can for 20 seconds, then rest for 40. Do another sprint and repeat this sequence 12 to 15 times. Finish with a light five-minute cool-down jog and work out three days a week on nonconsecutive days.

Aspects of this posting are good advice - other aspects can be ignored in my opinion...

Here are the aspects that I endorse:
Start doing waist exercises all are very easy no Gym machines required, no need to join Gym.
Take less sugar
Walk for fun for atleast 2-30 minutes. - you say that you already do this - feel free to walk more...
don't make yourself stressed that you have to lose weight
Include fruits and vegetables

I am prepared to be convinced about
drink lemon water in morning for quick results - since we should all drink plenty of water - and some people squeeze lemon in to make the flavour more interesting...

I have to say that I lost a lot of weight and
NEVER drank beetroot water
NEVER ate almonds - as nuts are pretty high in calories and I preferred something more substantial for that amount of calories
DIDN'T feel a need to have some sugar (although I do have natural sugars from the fruit that I eat) and had tons of energy - I often described myself as a "human jumping bean".
I wear any colour according to my mood and never abandoned any one colour. I often wore red while dropping weight successfully.

Always remember that anything that you see on a forum is simply someone else's opinion and not everything should be taken at face value.

I'm afraid that the multiple meals advice has been proved to be a myth for quite some time now...

Total calories consumed is all that matters... If this pattern assists you to control your appetite and therefore your daily calories you can follow it by all means and it may work for you - but there is nothing intrinsically that means that this pattern increases your metabolism to deal with those calories.

The advice on what to eat is excellent.

Step 3 is truly outstanding and the way to lose weight quickly and shape the stomach.
...
Step 3 will do it for you.

I reckon that I get something very similar with my 4 hours of hardcore zumba (led by a qualified personal trainer who is also a dance teacher who says that he does not know a way to increase the intensity). I know that is excellent exercise so am more than prepared to believe that sprints are great.

If you do not fancy sprinting - then a dancing alternative should do it. Obviously a waltz will not do it!!!

Zumba has a "core" session that works out our middle section. If you have wii, you can get the DVD for it at Wal-Mart, probably worth the $20.00 or so and you can work it into your own schedule that way.

I don't have wii, but ordered a DVD set of Zumba, should be here by Friday and I am looking forward to starting it. I mean, what could be better dance exercise AND music :) Good luck to you!!!

My Zumba instructors incorporate Zumba core in their classes. :)

Zumba is so much more fun than sprints for me...
