Hey there

Just wondering how much bread affects fast weight loss. I run almost everyday of the week, often missing out some fridays and saturdays, so i think i burn off most of what i eat. I usually have about 3 slices of bread a day, one for toast at breakfast and 2 in a sandwich at lunch, this is always brown bread. There are some days when i get quite peckish and want to have an extra sandwich. How bad is bread? How much should I eat a day?

My first guess is that it would be very difficult to make an argument against bread without making one against wheat -and gluten-, cereal grains, or (refined) carbs in general too.

The ways it could affect your weight loss would be over-eating or causing an insulin spike so you're hungry faster than you should be. But again, that's an argument for a much wider group, not only bread.

If you are happy with your results, you don't really need to change anything. If you aren't, you could try lowering the total amount of carbohydrates you eat (Measured in grams. You would need to weigh your food scale and use a tool like Fitday, CalorieKing, etc) or you could try replacing them with unrefined carbs, which generally are more bulky and at the same time less calories.

Good luck! :)

Our bodies burn carbohydrates for fuel. Bread is not good or bad (unless you have an allergy, intolerance or too much of a good thing). Every body is different, you may want to evaluate your diet as a whole instead of just one item at a time.

Hi ....!
I don't think that bread effects our weight ,even some people use this in daily diet . Bread provides us calories which is very essential for daily .
