i am in highschool, 6ft, 155 pounds. ive run cross country and track since 7th grade and i never say yes to desserts and i always eat natural food, but ive recently been eating more to help gain muscle for track.
i only ever eat unhealthy foods on some weekends when im out with friends, but even then its in small amounts. my buddies literally eat garbage every day and are skinny as hell. how is this possible? how am i still fat?
ive been living a healthier lifestyle for about 2 years and absolutely nothing has changed. i still get small little remarks on my gut and it really bothers me a lot. i get really frustrated when i get on the scale and notice how my weight hasnt gone down consistently for the 2 years ive been trying. what am i supposed to do?

Hello mate, I can understand your frustration. In my opinion, you should get your blood checked for thyroid. Sometimes the imbalance of thyroid hormone can cause weight gain. Eat normal food (which you always do). Exercise regularly. I suggest you should jump rope every morning. Drink a warm glass of lemon water before exercising.

With a BMI of 21.02 a fully grown adult older than you would be told that their weight was healthy and that they really should not be concerned.
Since you are in highschool then that adds greater strength to the notion that your weight is perfectly healthy.

Add into the mix that you know you have been adding muscle because of your exercise - and muscle weighs heavier than fat - so a weight increase will come from that too.

Who is making remarks about your gut? I am wondering whether they are making any sort of valid point....

Sometimes such comments say more about the person making the comment than the person they are commenting about... Sometimes people make adverse comments out of jealousy or to build themselves up at other's expense... Sometimes people are simply mistaken or lacking in knowledge.

I suggest that you ask your doctor for an honest opinion - I suspect he would say that you have absolutely nothing to worry about and to keep up your healthy habits.

Rather than look at weighing scales for guidance - you could see if you have access to a body fat meter - maybe your school sports teacher has one. Alternatively sports personal trainers can use calipers to measure fat without getting confused by muscle.
