Sport How accurate are these calorie calculators? Need some help with maintanence calories

Sport Fitness
I've used ones from a few sites, also wen't to the goverment one at mypyramid.com, the 2 I use say about the same thing, recomends 2800 calories a day.

I'm 18, 72 Inches (6 feet) tall and I weigh 140, I've been eating 2000 a day for maintenance but after a couple months I notice I'm always hungry even after 2000, and I get REALLY REALLY bad stomach aches like something being eaten inside me, so I'm thinking

&

Are right when they recomend 2800, but I've lost a lot of weight and am worried if I increase my calories by so much I'll start to gain a lot of weight, so I'm still sort of unsure if I should follow the guidelines they've given me.

Any advice? Suggestions on what I should do? Anything is welcome, thanks for helping me out, appreciate it. I just don't know, 2800 seems like a lot. Anyways, I hope I'll be able to solve my problem with the help of you guys.

Oh and if it helps, I try to get in a maximum of 4 miles walked/jogged in a day, every day, I stopped but started again recently, maybe that explains my hunger pains since I'm requiring more calories for energy, but a 800 boost seems like too much.

2800 cals sounds right for someone your age and height, and gender.

No one said you have to go up 800 cals at once. Start with 300-400..which is a nice sized snack worth of food.

And for the record, a 500 cal surplus, every day, should yield a 1lb gain in weight every week. So if at 2400 cals a day, you don't start gain weight in a couple weeks, then you're not over eating.
