house plants to deodorize a room?

Moved into a new place and my room had a musty smell. So far I cleaned down the wood floors and put some of those solid adjustable air freshners but I got used to smell so I dont know if that helped and I'm not a fan of pumping in a ton of chemicals to freshen the air or using candels.

I know nothing about plants but I'm curious in getting 1-3 plants for my room (one taller floor plant, any others would be smaller ones on a ledge) that would be good at freshing up the room. Zero to very little maintenance would be a big plus. Any suggestions? Thanks

I don't know anything about plants either, but I usually see spider plants used to freshen up a room. I think they are used to decorate a house too.

or maybe you can use a small pine tree. They have a pretty strong smell and plus you can use it as a christmas tree. :biggrinsanta: It would look pretty odd though.

or maybe those mint plants will do.

By the way, did you check the room for molds and stuff?
